Dr. Yanitama Putri, CIMI, IBCLC

Dr. Yanitama is a Pediatrician providing healthcare for children aged 0-18 years at Bali International Hospital. She completed her Pediatric Specialist training at the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University in 2020. Over the past 6 years as a pediatric specialist, Dr. Yanitama has continuously enhanced her competencies to provide comprehensive care in maternal and child health services. Holding the CIMI certification (Certified Infant Massage Instructor), she trains parents to provide stimulation and affection to their babies through infant massage, so children can achieve optimal growth and development. She is also an IBCLC (International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant), who will accompany mothers as a breastfeeding and lactation consultant. Her goal is to help mothers provide the best nutrition for their babies through breast milk, and to support them in overcoming any challenges during breastfeeding so that the process is comfortable and easy for both mother and baby. Dr. Yanitama believes that breastfeeding is a dance between mother and baby — they only need to find harmony together, by learning together, so the mother can breastfeed comfortably and the baby can easily receive breast milk. As part of ensuring optimal nutrition, Dr. Yanitama also supports parents in the next stage: introducing complementary foods (MPASI). As a Complementary Feeding Counselor, she provides complete consultations to parents on MPASI preparation, age-appropriate and nutritionally balanced menus, and solutions to challenges during the MPASI period, to ensure children’s growth is optimal and well-monitored. As a Pediatrician, Dr. Yanitama is highly competent and up to date in guiding parents on child health, growth and development, child vaccinations, and in the care of sick children in outpatient, inpatient, and intensive care settings, together with the Pediatric Emergency and Intensive Care Unit (ETIA) team at Bali International Hospital. Through her motto, “Every child is unique; they will grow in their own way. Our role is to provide them with the best nutrition, consistent and ongoing stimulation and love, and a healthy environment to grow in, so they can develop optimally into kind and intelligent children,” Dr. Yanitama encourages parents to be patient, to listen, observe, and learn from their own children, while continuously monitoring and supporting their growth and development.
