Dr. I Dewa Gde Dwi Sumajaya, commonly known as Dr. Suma, is a cardiologist specializing in Cardiology and Vascular Medicine with a focus on Interventional Cardiology, particularly in the management of complex coronary artery disease. His clinical practice is supported by advanced international training and active participation in proctorship and fellowship programs across the Asia–Pacific region and Europe. Dr. Suma completed his medical degree at Universitas Udayana (2006–2012) and later pursued specialist training in Cardiology and Vascular Medicine at Universitas Udayana (2014–2019). Through this training, he developed strong expertise in diagnosing and managing cardiovascular diseases, which remain among the leading causes of mortality worldwide. To further strengthen his interventional expertise, Dr. Suma underwent specialized training in Interventional Cardiology at Queen Elizabeth Hospital II in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia, and participated in additional clinical training programs in Malaysia. He also completed an observership at Sapporo Cardiovascular Clinic (SCVC), Japan, gaining valuable exposure to advanced cardiovascular diagnostics and modern interventional techniques in a high-standard international setting. In addition, Dr. Suma has participated in numerous international proctorship and advanced interventional cardiology training programs with leading mentors from Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, China, Switzerland, Thailand, and Japan. These experiences have strengthened his capability to manage complex coronary interventions according to the latest global standards. In his clinical practice, Dr. Suma focuses on the evaluation and management of coronary artery disease using a precise, evidence-based, and patient-centered approach, prioritizing safety and long-term clinical outcomes. He is experienced in performing minimally invasive cardiovascular procedures that help patients recover faster while achieving optimal treatment results.
